History

La Vallongue, it is 740 acres of garrigues and rocks located between Eygalières and Saint Rémy de Provence. The estate is located below a long valley (hence the name « la Vallongue ») and the main road was the antic way linking Rome to Spain.

100 years ago, the estate was a sheep farm. It is only later in the 70s, after having become a hunting lodge, that Mr Paul-Cavalier discovered the unsuspected ability of the terroir to grow vineyards. With patience and lots of hard work, Mr Paul-Cavalier created the 93 acres of vineyards, while respecting the magic of the place. In this unspoilt site, the vineyards were converted to organic farming in 1985.

In 2008, Mr Christian Latouche, who already owned some olive trees, fell in love with the magic of the place and took over the estate to pursue this beautiful adventure.
